/ About the project
"Paddy Gower Has Issues"
is a New Zealand current affairs and entertainment program hosted by award-winning journalist Patrick Gower. Premiering on May 24, 2023, the weekly one-hour show is filmed in front of a live audience and delves into significant issues affecting New Zealanders.
The visual package for Paddy Gower Has Issues was designed to capture the high-energy essence of late-night television while incorporating a sharp, contemporary edge. The project encompassed a comprehensive suite of deliverables, including the overall set design, dynamic studio screens, and custom desk decals, all working together to create a visually engaging space.
Additionally, the branding extended to merchandise, ensuring a cohesive identity beyond the screen. The broadcast graphics package included real-time live graphics, an impactful 3D title sequence, and a refined on-air aesthetic that reinforced the show's modern feel.
A distinct and adaptable social media design system was also developed to maintain consistency across digital platforms, enhancing audience engagement and ensuring seamless integration between broadcast and online content.
The result was a bold, immersive visual identity that elevated the show’s storytelling and viewer experience.
